: xenophobia and ethnic prejudice
It’s a comparing and contrasting between the book Zeitoun and the movie “When the Levees Broke”. The two items talk about the day before, during, and after the Hurricane of Katrina that happened 8 years ago in New Orleans 2005. In the movie, people were talking about the ethnic prejudice from the government toward black people and how they are ignoring the people in NO because most of them are black. Therefore, they called the people in NO “The Refugees”. However, in the book Zeitoun, the author talked about how difficult it was for Zeitoun to live in a country and be surrounded by people who hates you or afraid from you just because of your religion and where did you come from. Also, at the beginning of the paper I want to see some comparing and contrasting between the book and the movie. Moreover, I would like to see what some similarities do they have.
