Read below.
Well look who’s lucky. This is our lesson last week on my review class. Anyways,
To update you, there are now SIX (yep, six!) states of matter.
I assume you know solid, liquid, and gas, so I’ll just explain the other three, 🙂
Plasma – Ionized gas consists of positive ions . A very common example of this is the Sun, as well as stars in general.
Bose-Einstein Condensate– Dilute gas of boson cooled down to .
Jahn-Teller Metal– Discovered in the year 2015. A very new state of matter (shocking news right?). They are a HIGH temperature superconductors (and when I say HIGH, it is very high).
Note: Bose-Einstein Condensate and Jahn-Teller Metal are mostly being used in the field of Physics. We, I, chemists, deals only with solid, liquid, gas, and plasma.
