    Identify clear examples of conflict in thinking styles, power relationships and other complexities.
    Evaluate whether or not the differences in Indigenous and Western Philosophies and World-views can be reconciled.

    Question 2 – Discuss the following quote broadly in terms of Indigenous and Western conceptions of Social and Emotional Well-being: “Finding common ground…may not be easy given that, according to some anthropologists, no two cultures are more distant from each other than the Aboriginal and European cultures” (Kendall, Milliken, Barnett & Marshall, 2008, p. 227). In your essay:

    Outline the key features of both Indigenous and Western conceptions of Social and Emotional Well-being, ways of being in the world and knowledge systems.
    Identify clear examples of conflict in thinking styles, power relationships and other complexities.
    Evaluate whether or not the differences in Indigenous and Western conceptions Social and Emotional Well-being can be reconciled.
