    Details of task:
    Assignment task 2 develops from Assignment task 1. It requires a case study report on how as a leader you might address a ‘problem’ of educational change or introduce a new initiative in an educational context. The case report should include (in the form of a critical review of the literature) the selection and discussion of appropriate conceptual readings related to inner leadership and the strategies related to developing organisational change or innovations.

    Task guidance

    Identify the case of educational change that this report will address and succinctly summarise the understandings developed in assessment task
    1 where the relevance, rationale and context of the case were identified and linked to the globalising policy literature (approx. 600-1000 words);
    1. Critically consider your own role, identity and leadership style in the case of change and relate the discussion to the conceptual readings on leadership and inner leadership;
    2. Develop and critically discuss strategies for educational change in the specific context you have identified in assessment task 1 to address the issue or problem. In this discussion critically analyse the organisational context, including people, cultures and practices to identify the mediating potential and activities of leadership work to enable change;
    3. Critically reflect on the significance and contribution of this leadership work to modifying or mediating the effects of globalizing policies.
