Part 1: Selecting and Describing a Collaborative Project
In this part of the assignment, you will select and describe a collaborative technology project for students in your class or at your school to join. Several Web sites are provided as suggestions. Feel free to explore other Web sites to find a project to join that is more appropriate for your students’ specific educational needs.

2. Describe the activity or activities included in this project.
3. Restate the goals you set in the Module 1 assignment. How will the skills and activities
used for this project align with these technology goals?
4. Do you feel you have the knowledge and skills to lead your students in the completion of
this project? If not, how do you plan to acquire this knowledge?
5. What special skills or equipment will students need to complete the project?
6. What specific benefits will your students gain from this project?

In this part of the assignment, you will explain how the collaborative technology project and its activities align with the NETS-S and NETS-T.

1. Which of the NETS-S does this project address? Which of the performance indicators
located within the standards does it address? Cite specific examples of how you feel this
project will assist your students in achieving mastery of these standards.
2. Using the Profiles of Technology Literate Students, describe how this project aligns with
activities listed for your students’ age group. List each competency you feel this project covers, and explain how it does so.Which of the NETS-T does this project address? Which of the performance indicators listed within each standard do you feel you will effectively meet by implementing this project? How will you meeting these standards and competencies benefit your students?
