Thesis : Although society tends to prize the STEM majors at elite institutions, in actuality, this misguided value system does not always result in academic excellence or overall sense of happiness or well-being. 1. Attending an elite University does not guarantee academic success.
2. Furthermore, a Liberal Arts education can foster critical thinking skills which compliment all areas of learning.
3. Finally, prosperity does not come with the promise of a higher level of satisfaction with life.
