    THE METHODOLOGY

    3. This chapter will evaluate various aspects of the research approach and methodology. First, the paper will evaluate the research design, the research matrix, and the methods that were used to collect data. Furthermore, this report will justify why the selected method was effective in this research based on its applicability in past and present research. Finally, this section will also analyze the validity of the research and ethical considerations that were observed during the data collection methods.

    3.1. Data analysis

    3.1. Research Strategy

    3.1. Research Approach

A inductive research approach was used to analyze the use of artificial intelligence in smart cities among the GCC countries. As Alase (2017) states, the scientific research approach is effective in drawing hypothetical explanations and then predicting the outcomes based on these hypotheses or empirical observations. In this paper, the main hypothesis is that the use of AI systems will improve the quality of health care in the GCC countries. Therefore, based on this hypothesis, the report analyzed the past and the present use of AI in European Union countries (EU). It was established that the AI systems were effective in the EU health care organizations. Based on this analysis, it was concluded that the AI systems will also bring similar results to the health care systems of the GCC countries. As Stobaugh et al. (2019) state, a scientific research approach is crucial in helping researchers to analyze the effectiveness of research variables and making conclusions based on how the research concept was effective in the past and present.

    3.2. Research Design

The quantitative research design was the most preferred design for this paper. Stobaugh et al. (2019) state that a quantitative research design uses arithmetic methods to determine the effectiveness of research variables. In this research, the main idea was to evaluate the benefits of introducing Artificial Intelligence in health care facilities of the GCC countries. However, this would not be possible if we had not used quantitative research determine to get the exact number of EU countries that have fully implemented this system. The Quantitative research design helped the research to collect the percentage of hospitals that use AI in the EU counties, the percentage of consumers who support the use of AI implementation in GCC hospitals, and numerical data on how the AI tools will revolutionize the health care sector of the GCC countries in the future. Therefore, the quantitative research design helped the research to quantify the effectiveness of AI tools that helps to answer the main topic of “impact of AI tools on smart cities for smart decision making in health care.”

    3.2.2 The research Matrix

The research matrix was also effective to establish various components of the research such as the objectives, the data collection sources, databases, search terms, and conclusions. The research matrix is crucial in helping the researcher to determine the validity of the research and also determine the gaps that might not have been fulfilled in this research (Martins et al., 2018). The table below indicates the research matrix for this paper.

    3.3 Research Methodology

    This research utilized primary methods of data collection. In Saudi Arabia. However, the secondary methods are also effective since they help the researcher to collect information that has already been verified. Furthermore, they help to minimize time wastage since the researcher can easily access the published information. Furthermore, secondary research methods have always been used in past research and have proved to be among the reliable methods of data collection. The secondary data collection methods that were used in this research include;

3.4 The validity of the research methods

The secondary research methods that were used are highly effective. The information that was collected had been verified by different authors and proved to be correct. Furthermore, data sources from the World Bank and reliable databases such as the EBSCOHOST are reliable and have been used in past scientific research. Secondary data collection methods are vital since they also help the researcher to compare information from different sources to determine if it’s valid or not. Thus, the methods used in this research are valid and they enabled the researcher to collect relevant information.

    3.5 Ethical considerations

The researcher only used secondary data sources to get information on the topic of study. There was no room for plagiarism in using the data sources for any other purpose. This report respects the hard work that the authors have put in to publish their articles or the information sources. Therefore, there was no plagiarism from any information source.

    ANALYSIS AND RESULTS

    4. This chapter analyses and interprets the data collected. The chapter discusses the results of the study. You can divide the chapter into the desired number of sections and sub-sections. Analysis is still a method or a tool being used to break down your findings.

    4.1. Put Sample Main Heading

Here you can write the first part of your results and analysis section. For example, you can put here the demographic data analysis etc. You can divide it into as many number of sub-sections as required.

    4.2. Put Sample Main Heading

Here you can write the second part of your results and analysis section. For example, you can put here main data analysis with the corresponding results etc. You can divide it into as many number of sub-sections as required.
