What is the Gender Wage Gap? What are it’s most important and deeper causes? Is it best seen as a matter of discrimination and injustice needing to be fixed by legislation and corporate policy changes? Or a product of the personal choices of men and women preferring different types of jobs and dividing up work and childcare in their own way? Should campaigns for equality focus on equalizing average income between the sexes, or simply preventing discrimination and focusing on economic equality more generally?
