In this 800-1,000 word essay, you will present a persuasive argument on an approved topic using appropriate scholarly resources as evidence to support your claims.

    o Your paper will include 3-5 secondary sources. At least 3 of those sources must be located through the Library Databases. Any other sources must be approved.
    o Your evidence will be smoothly incorporated using at least 3 direct quotations and a combination of summary and paraphrase.
    • Logical and Coherent Organization
    o Content will be organized in outline format before drafting begins.
    o Paragraphs will rely on topic sentences to keep them tied to the thesis and keep the information within organized.
    o Transitions will be used throughout the paper to draw smooth connections.

    o Ethos, pathos, and logos will be used in a balanced and effective manner.
