    Summary-Analysis:

    ·         You should describe and discuss all criteria within section headings.

    ·         This is to say, you need to pull from each Journal Entry.

o    You are not merely repeating the journal entries, however. You are summarizing major findings from each and analyzing them with brief descriptions and discussions supporting your overall point.

o    You need to illustrate the information from each one and add content to develop cohesive flow between sections.

o    This will also require statements of synthesis punctuated throughout the paper.

    ·         Citing within the body of the text is veryimportant:

o    Without a valid citation, a "fact" is nothing more than an alleged statement.

o    It is not substantiated without the valid citation.

Sample of how to include in-text citations:

The leading cause of COPD is smoking, and in 2002, 30% of all cigarettes in the world
were consumed in China (Lou et al.). The majority of heavy smokers in China are
undereducated and from low-income households. The table above illustrates that the gross
national income per capita in China is less than one-eighth of that of the United States (IHME,
2016). Furthermore, due to income constraints, many people that suffer from COPD in China do
not seek medical attention until their symptoms become severe. The following table details the
relationship between socioeconomic status and prevalence of COPD. Participants that fell into
the low-income category were more than twice as likely to have the disease (Yin et al., 2011)

Note that this paragraph is not just a list of quotes!

o    For each point stated, it is both substantiated by a valid citation and an explanation in the student's own words for it.

§  And no, you should not highlight your in-text citations. I only did so to point them out to you.

o    The full reference must be fully expanded in the References List (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. at the end of the document in APA style.

§  It is not enough to only cite it in the body of the text.

§  It must be in both places!

    ·         I am seeking a convincing, substantiated "argument" in support of a Program that addresses your chosen topic.

    ·         Full marks will be earned for any criteria that shows fully developed thought and well articulated ideas.

o    Errors: minimal or major, within each criteria, will reduce level of marks for that criteria.
