Read Chapter 12 in the Hogan book. After reviewing the various objective personality tests, explain the strategies used to detect and/or reduce the problems associated with Response Sets and Faking.

Read chapter 14 of the Hogan book. Projective techniques have two key features: test items are typically ambiguous and responses made are a free-response format. The rationale of projective techniques is that the examinee’s response will be determined by the examinee’s personality dynamics.
Read the client’s response under the heading: Administration and Scoring.
Response Phase: "I see here what looks like a dead animal…"
Inquiry Phase: “Here (pointing to the central part of the blot) is the dead animal….”
How would you apply the location codes? Notice that there are two responses (R=2) coded in the Response Phase and the Inquiry Phase given by the client in response to the blot in Figure 14.2.
