Your research project in this class will be a macroeconomic topic of your choice (look in your textbook for possibilities, such as monetary policy, trade barriers, money supply).  Or, the topic can be from the news, the Web, or an interesting book you have read.  The body of the paper have be at least five full pages with an additional page for the cover plus a reference page.  Include an outline, introduction, body, and conclusion. (You should have a minimum of five sources.)

As usual, follow APA Guidelines (one-inch margins, double spacing, first line indent, running header, etc.).  Please use the owl website (from Purdue.)  Note that all sources must be cited using the APA guidelines; in other words, do not just list an Internet address as the full citation on the reference page.  You may also want to use www.citationmachine.net.
You will present your information in a ten minute speech.  Your speech should include the following:
    • Introduction
      • Attention Getter
      • Credibility Statement
      • Thesis Statement
      • Preview of Main Points
    • Body
    • Closing
      • Thesis Statement
      • Review of Main Points
      • Closing Statement
Use PowerPoint for your visual aid (minimum 6 slides in body).  Your first slide should have your name and the title of your speech.  The second slide should have your outline (all of your main points).  Six slides of body. Your last slide should include your references.  Be sure to include clip art (or pictures) plus charts.  Wear professional business attire.
