    Hello everyone,

    On top of the Discussion Board on Human Rights in Historical Perspectives with consideration on the issues of differences/similarities as well as gender identity, this week you are expected to explore possible title or topic for your Final Research Paper.  The approval of the final title/topic is due on or before April 04, 2022

    GUIDELINES

    Topic for the paper:

    You must get it approved by the Instructor before you can begin the paper
    Approval from Instructor should be secured on or before April 04, 2022

    The paper will be written with a minimum of four complete pages of content and a maximum of seven pages. Title, extra headings,  and Works Cited or Reference pages will not be included in the minimum four pages of content.

    There must be a minimum of four total resources used to write the paper. You must use at least two readings from the course and no more than two as your cited sources.

    Then you must use at least one scholarly and/or peer reviewed article. Remember you have the FDU online library databases.
    The others might be news articles or informational websites on the topic or videos.
    You may not use Wikipedia in the paper.

    All citations for information that clearly comes from research and is paraphrased or quoted must be cited within the body of the paper and match the reference or works cited list. Use MLA or APA format, whichever works for your major and you have used in previous courses.

    Ask any and all questions as you begin to do your research. If you are unsure about using a source, ask the Instructor. You must ask all questions early.  If you wish the instructor to do a quick review of the draft, it must be done no later than one week before the due date. Otherwise, you will not be able to get early comments to update your paper. Also, remember that the FDU online tutoring center is available. You must do your work early to submit for feedback to this service.

    Utilize the FDU Library and its many resources to help you write your paper and find research. You can always email them as well. Ask your Instructor for further assistance.

    Learning Outcomes for the Course and Paper

    The overall objective of this course focusing on global issues is for students to recognize the interdependence of the individual and the community in creating the challenges and opportunities in a global society through the examination of sustainability, human rights, and peace and conflict.

    Specifically, students will:

    Understand the economic forces that create the environment for each individual.
    Acknowledge the role of gender and its impact on the social and economic environment.
    Demonstrate an understanding of the differences between economic and ecological sustainability challenges in developing and developed countries, specifically those from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) or Small Island Developing States (SIDS)
    Explain the role of institutions and networks in improving, inhibiting, or fostering sustainability.
    Integrate the fundamental themes of the course and demonstrate an application to global issues.

    Finally, make sure you review the Scoring Rubric for the assignment as well.
