Testing Exercise

    Instructions:
    1. Context:
Summarize the test you intend to perform in the context of your MIP. Include a brief description of what you are testing (software performance, UI, model logic, etc.) and the purpose of the test.
This should be one or two paragraphs and can include graphics.
    2. Test explanation:
Create a way to test one component of your MIP (user interface, model, geodatabase). You may use actual software or existing testing tools or create your own method via PowerPoint or the whiteboard. For software or model testing, your user should be able to make independent choices about how to interact and receive feedback about what happens after their choices. If you are unable to use real software you must design a way to present and capture choices from the user and a way to present results to them. Simulate the test as close as possible to what you would have done (if it was real). Your test explanation should contain the following:
    1. Complete the template on the next page and submit it as part of your assignment (one document total please). Use the lecture slides as a reference to complete the template (DO NOT SIMPLY COPY THE LECTURE SLIDE AND SUBMIT IT AS YOUR TEST). Your test must be specific enough that a classmate or the instructor could use your document to execute the test.
    2. Conclusion – Based on the test outcome, was your test successful? This is brief narrative, not simply a yes or no.
