Systematic Review (2)

The assignment is the first part of a thesis. It is required to carry out a Systematic Literature Review as the first stage of a change project. The change project in this case is ?the introduction of brochure given to patients to inform them about infection control practices at the hospital and improve perceived quality?. (I will upload a file titled ?THE PROPOSAL? which is a brief description of the change project I am doing so that you have an idea of the project. I will be asking you to do the thesis for me too in the near future).
Therefore, the literature systematic review has to be related to this topic. Please choose a title and scope for the review yourself. Something related to infection control practices and how well patients are informed about them, and the effect it has on perceived quality.
The review will be divided onto the following subheadings:

In the ?Methods & Methodologies? section you are supposed to take three to five core papers from the ones that you have reviewed in the previous section and provide a critical analysis of the methodologies used in these papers / studies. This would include :
    (1) Explaining the aim of the study
    (2) Defining the research design and sampling methodology
    (3) Analyze the data collection methods and tools used
    (4) Discuss reliability and validity
All this critical analysis should be based on references. For example, if you suggest that a sample size is statistically significant and results are valid, you need to explain why you think so providing references from a research methodology book. The university recommends Bryman & Bell (2011), however you can feel free to use your own reference.

In the ?Application of findings to your change project? section, you should explain how this review findings will help you in the change project in the future, which is the ?the introduction of a brochure ?etc?.
Finally, as an appendix, there should be a Review Grid in which you fill up data on the following subjects for those core articles that you have critically analyzed:
    (1) Source of article
    (2) Methodology used
    (3) Sampling methods
    (4) Data collection
    (5) Data collection tool
    (6) Data analysis
    (7) Validity / reliability
    (8) Ethics
    (9) Theme 1
    (10) Theme 2
    (11) Theme 3
