    5. PROJECT GUIDELINES

    Team project – working paper: You are required to prepare the team project:

    You have been assigned to improve the management process of the chosen company (Carlsberg) and to provide actual recommendations for their management team within a given managerial functions (planning, organizing, leading, or controlling).

    ·  Further, you prepare, structures and presents the project basically:

    §   Summarizing the theoretical concepts from the given function (first goal),

    §   Adding company and industry overview (second goal),

    §   And, ending the seminar (work project) with practical adding value conclusions and recommendations for management team of the chosen company. Be very applicative and practical and arrange mainly the findings crucial for a successful company strategic management process in the future, adding real consulting recommendation for the existing company management team.

    ·  Each paper should be2 pages in length per (1,2 spaced/computer generated).

    ·  Papers will be graded primarily based upon: (1) the content of what is written, and (2) Issues of form, such as sentence structure, and spelling also enter into the grading of papers.

    PLAN OF PROJECT WORK

    First, on the basis of the given concept/management function (planning/ organization / leading / controlling) you start researching ONLY ONEgiven management function. You can use the textbook we use at the Course Management (Daft/Marcic, 2013) or any other current management books.

    Second, Your given company is:Carlsberg so you should look more in detail how management process is carried out in practice, regarding their given management planning functions.Under the section of recommendations of the paper you suggest how according to the literature review or practical experiences you think the given company could move towards strengthening sustainable management.

    Third, students choose a learning option – which means students are free to investigate the function in the way that is most interesting to them.

    Fourth, Appendix– photo-documentation –visual ethnography (at least 2 pages of photos)
