The module is Economic Development, and the question is: How did the state effect economic development? The country of choice is Colombia. Where the political and economical situation started to improve sharply from the early 2000’s. The paper need to show how the government’s policy making had (or hadn’t) an effect on the economic performance of the country. I think the paper should mention the up and coming oil and gas industry of the country. How Colombia became the PLATFORM country of the region, and how Argentina, Venezuela or Brazil lost their vantage point to Colombia. The country sees large amounts of capital flowing into the country at the moment, and Bogota is the center for headquarters in the region.
