My Dr. Instruction Regarding the Replying discussion question :

While I read your DQs and  member’s DQF, I am motivated to say that your ideas are of good standard. To make it more useful and excellent we can follow some basic structure that allows us to grasp your ideas more clearly. Second, we have similar pattern and a system in replying to others DQs.  My suggestion would be while you are writing DQF consider following points:

    1. Identify focus of the DQs of your classmates
    2. Relate/debate your position on the topic.
    3. Justify your position.
    4. Provide evidence using secondary source
    5. Engage audience and structure your arguments
    6. Conclude/ recommend. All briefly.

Provide 2 responses to other students’ three of them have response ask me question relevant to my discussion post bellow , i need one response and two reference for each relevant to my discussion post about 275 words for each response . and 2 referance . replying to my colleague question most be like I’m who response-discuss (writing) .

Bellow is my discussion post :

    Globalization
Modern economic conditions have made it necessary for companies to adjust their systems to accommodate a global approach. Globalization has contributed to international integration through trade. It has also led to economic development of both international organizations and the countries they operate in (Metz, 2013). Globalization has especially affected developing countries because it avails new market for developed countries while developing countries are provided with investors and new resources. However, contrary to common beliefs, globalization has influenced participating countries both positively and negatively.
One of the major advantages of globalization in developing countries includes opening up of countries to new vast environments (Tanzi, 2004), which leads to the development of new perceptions and cultures. Consequently, globalization sets the pace for change in economic culture, hence, the adoption of new business approaches and strategies. The second major advantage is the increase in the economic field of developing countries, which translate into the creation of new opportunities for their citizens (Tanzi, 2004). Thirdly, globalization offers the much-needed opportunity to buy raw materials from trade areas that are cheapest thereby helping in optimal production of countries (Tanzi, 2004). However, perhaps the largest impact of globalization I have observed in developing countries is access to new and powerful technology from developed countries (Tanzi, 2004). Developing countries now have better infrastructure owing to resources and skilled manpower from developed countries. All these factors form the main inspirations for globalization in developing economies.
However, my opinion is in agreement with Peter Auer, Besse and Méda (2006) who state that globalization should not be considered a zero-sum equation. It is evident that significant disadvantages arise from the adoption of globalization. Peter Auer, Besse and Méda (2006) refer to it as a constructive destruction because the development of new systems leads to destruction of the old ones. In my opinion, the loss of jobs that originate from both the incorporation of technology and importation of personnel from beyond national borders to capture skills, illustrates this very well. Furthermore, globalization requires amplified effectiveness and efficiency that I think in most cases can be hard for developing countries because of inadequate assets and capacity. For instance, the manufacturing industry in developing countries faces resource and technology limitations. Going global would require significant upgrades to meet external markets. Hence, in most cases globalization leads to incurred debts for developing countries.
While it is impossible to prevent all disadvantages of globalization, there are some factors that developing countries should consider mitigating the negative effects of the globalization process. The first is to set protective regulations that will ensure that exploitation by developed countries is discouraged. Notably, this would set pace for developed countries to adapt to changes without being overwhelmed into taking on more debt than they are already in. Secondly, a clear analysis should be done when choosing international partners as a way of regulating globalization choices based on what is best for the developing country in question.
In conclusion, I support the view that globalization often leads to increased short term costs that could suffice as a sacrifice for the sake of long-term success. Developing countries should not only assess the possible benefit of globalization implementation but also the costs in acquisition and implementation of the technology or strategies. This is instrumental in the assessment of whether a global step would be beneficial in the long run or not.

1)Bellow is the first response from my colleague at university :

    Hello ,
Thank you for the interesting post in regard to the advantages and disadvantages of the globalization.
You have started your discussion how globalization helped in the international integration trades and economic development, affecting eventually developing countries negatively and positively.
I would like to focus on the advantages you have mentioned and how globalization brings to developing countries new business and strategies, which I believe true if those countries will be set as a whole starting from the public sector, government and available businesses to integrate both together openly to the globalization changes.
Which is I guess I have to disagree that the adoption of globalization will lead to a constructive destruction. Melnikas (2013) discussed how developing countries can benefit from the globalization if public sector, government and private sector integrate together in adopting new systems, technologies, strategies to maximize the advantages of globalization and minimize the negative impacts on the country such as loss of jobs, change of culture and so on.
It is very evident and important the impact of globalization on politics, society, and the economy of all countries even the developed ones, which is why, I support the fact that convergence of adopting new strategies and business interests between those two sectors in the developing countries will reflect positively to how globalization will be perceived. For example, adopting same technologies, management methods, organizational strategies and investments approaches, that would be aligned with the country’s capital resources and to create a knowledge economy and society. This is why we notice destruction and negative impacts of globalization in developing countries with corrupted public sector, where the governement is acting in a egoistic behavior, against the private sector benefits and developments and not playing the protective and supportive role for it, and the society as a whole.

2)Bellow is the second response from my colleague at university ::
    Hello
I appreciate your recommendations. On setting boundaries of exploitation by developed countries, who, in your point of view should set these boundaries? International organizations like the World Bank and The United Nations have the world powers as stake holders, making it difficult for majority to establish policies that will not directly be to their advantage. Beyond looking to favourable trade policies, developing nations to take on the challenge of creating an healthier economy by focusing on how they deal with the rest of the globe.

3)Bellow is the second response from my colleague at university ::
    Hi
Metz assertion as to the role of globalization in fostering economic development is a spot on observation: one that holds particularly true in the European Union where the incentive of collective economic development and extensive cooperation has produced a super state structure built around economic factors.
However, the question on my mind has always been how to replay the EU model in other in another scenario: Africa to be specific. How has globalization impacted Africa? The answer to that question in my opinion is an inherent irony in the sense that while it has opened Africa to the world, it may have also contributed to the increasing gap between Africa’s rich and it’s poor.
Like you pointed out, greater access to the global market for raw materials has been provided for African states. However, as a strategic thinker and coming from a petroleum exporting country, I do not see this as a very positive trend. While increased revenues from raw material trade is great, this trade often damages the willingness of these nations to build local industrial capacity for processing these raw materials.
In conclusion I want to point out once again that at the end of the day, governments’ approach to the concept of globalization, what opportunities they chose to jump on or pass on; whether they pursue short or long term interests are the deciding factors as to how beneficial globalization would be for a country.
    Best,
