    Identify issue for change: First you will identify an area in your life where you would like to make positive change. Some people choose to work on substantial issues like anxiety, or depression while others choose issues like weight-loss, quitting smoking or cutting down on alcohol. The important thing is that you identify something that would be meaningful to you but that you wouldn’t usually find time for.
    Create a Plan: With the help of your supporters create a Recovery plan to enable you to work towards positive change. .
    Write about your experience: In a separate document compare and contrast your experience with that of a mental health consumer, utilising relevant references.

    The Task – Part 1.
    Groups: Your ability to work collaboratively plays a role in the assessment process however it won’t be assessed. Sometimes people find one or both of their supporters difficult to contact. Should this happen to you it won’t affect your grade, let your lecturer know. In your assignment you can talk about how it made you feel to have poor access to support and compare that to the common consumer experience of not being able to access timely support.
    Format of Plan: Be creative in the development and style of your plan. Use a format that works for you – power point, word documents and PDF files are commonly used.
    Journal: You will need to keep a detailed journal to refer to while writing Part 2 of the task. It will be important to record;
