Writing Assignment #2
Beyond Greed and Fear
For the second writing assignment, I am going to give you a more defined task. If you haven’t yet taken a look, Beyond Greed and Fear covers the area of behavioral finance.
Most students love behavioral finance (to which many of the papers written for the previous assignment can attest).As such, the second assignment is as follows: trash behavioral finance as completely as possible. Point out problems, inconsistencies, irrelevance…whatever. Focus on the bad and the ugly. Again, I am not setting a minimum or maximum page count; however, if you write a short paper
(say two pages or so), it had better be exceptional, otherwise your grade will be unimpressive. Long does not necessarily mean good either if the discussion is anything less than stimulating.
As always, I take plagiarism very seriously. I want to know what you think as opposed to what someone else thinks. Borrowing from another writer is perfectly OK as long as you follow the expected citation guidelines (I am fine with MLA, APA,
