Module 6
Articulate your position regarding universal preschool. Explain why you either support or oppose the trend towards governmental support and financing of this program. Be sure to support your answers with scholarship.

Module 7
Using the readings in Gutek and the assigned articles, discuss the notions of knowledge and power and the shaping of racial and class stratification in society. Also, reflect upon the re constructionist nature of these thinkers’ theories and arguments. Use Freire’s writings provided in the module/week’s reading section as a backdrop.

Module 8
Write a critique of Dewey’s argument for the type of experiential education he prescribes. Include arguments from the other articles (and the literature in this course or from your own research) and your knowledge of Dewey from Gutek and other sources.

Topic: Discuss and evaluate specific ways to bring moral instruction to life in school communities.
