    Application Paper Assignment#1:  Nursing Today 
    1.    Write a 3-5 page paper. Title and reference pages not included in page limit. No abstract needed.  
    2.    Address the following objectives: 
    a.    Explain factors that influenced the development of the nursing profession. (CO #2)
    b.    Discuss roles and responsibilities of nurses. (CO #1)
    c.    Describe different career opportunities for nurses. (CO #1)
    d.    Personal opinion: Explain why you want to become a nurse. (CO #1)
    3.    Cite and reference at least four scholarly resources; three of the four scholarly resources must be from nursing journals. The Introduction to Professional Nursing textbook may be used as one of the resources.  
    APA format used for title page, headings, citations and reference list, and other APA style formatting including spelling, grammar, sentence structure, punctuation etc


        All assignments require references from professional journals in the Brookline Library; one is required to be within 2 years, others within 5 years.
