Essay Assignment:
Write an essay about why your topic is significant and relevant to American culture. Why should Americans care about the aspect of upward mobility you have researched? Why is this aspect one that needs more attention? Support your own thesis, but also make sure to present opposing arguments and show why they are invalid. Bottom line: Why should we care?
Directions:
To receive full credit for this essay, all requirements must be met, and essay must be turned in on due date. Follow MLA guidelines. Use your sources to support your thesis and/or argue against your sources to highlight your points. A combination of the two, when executed correctly, is most impressive. Essay four is an entirely new essay. It is a culmination of the arguments, points, research, etc., you have done thus far. Essay four is a culmination of your research on upward mobility and the American Dream, not a revision of prior essays or a copy-paste combination.
Essay requirements: MLA formatting in-class submission of essay and Moodle upload eight full pages turn in sources ten sources
? seven scholarly (at least three must be academic journals)
? three primary (at least one must be a creative source)

– My aspect is on women being exploited in media and why we should care and it needs more attention. I need to have four topics that lead back to my aspect: T.V shows, movies, advertisements and news (cnn, E.T ect). give examples from the media that talk negative about women and that they have a less chance in succeeding in life. Take about why people should care and how it affects the American Dream for women.
– Also write an opposing argument that supports the side that agrees with the media exploiting women and give example as well.
