    You may select an organization which is not for profit (e.g. museum) or for profit (e.g dealer). The organization may be the both Art or Collectibles markets. If you organization is from outside the art or collectible industries (e.g. fashion) the case must have a direct relationship/close connection with art or collectibles sectors.

    For an organization of your choice – either an existing organization or a new venture – provide a descriptive and analytical case-based analysis which includes the following elements:
    Abstract/Executive Summary
    Highlights and summarise the key aspects of the organization/business:

    ? product/ service being offered and its advantages
    ? The market opportunity and timing
    ? The management team and employee make-up
    ? Funding requirements and expected returns (why investor should invest)
    The Business and its core Strategy
    ? Describe and discuss the aims and objectives of the business
    ? Discuss / deduce the vision, mission and underlying values of the business
    ? Consider how the business differentiates itself
    ? Discuss the target market and analyse how and why consumer needs are being met
    ? Discuss the ownership structure and why it is appropriate Analyse the key risks being faced and how they will they be mitigated
    External environment
    ? Present a comprehensive, coherent yet concise review and analysis of the external environment which is relevant to the chosen business.
    Internal aspects Present a comprehensive review and analysis of the internal competencies and capabilities which are most critical to the chosen business.
    Sales and Marketing Proposition
    ? Discuss the positioning of the product/service in the market place relative to competitors and how and why it will appeal to potential customers.
    ? Discuss key aspects of promotion and product placement including geographic region, physical/virtual location, etc.
    ? Discuss how/ the ways in which the product is sold and marketed to its target audience.
    Stakeholders, values & governance
    ? Discuss key stakeholders in the business and how their needs are met and balanced
    ? Discuss the underlying values, ethical position and corporate governance structure of the organization
    Financial forecasts & requirements
    ? Provide and discuss (estimated or existing) realistic sales forecasts
    o If relevant include different types of sales to different customers
    ? Provide and discuss (estimated or existing) cash-flow forecasts/statements discussing the ‘when & why’ of the cash-flows.
    ? Provide and discuss (estimated or existing) profit and loss (P&L) forecast/statements which gives a clear indication of how the business will move forward. Summarise the annual P&L forecast/statement for each of the first two or three years of trading.
    ? For every forecast/statement, list and discuss all the key assumptions (e.g. prices, sales volume, timing).
    ? Say how much finance is desired, when and in what form(s)?
    ? State (or estimate) what the finance will be/is used for?
    ? Discuss the investment strategy – what assets will can be acquired to support the business?
    ? What are the key financial risks face by the organization?
    The Future: Key Challenges/Dilemma’s/Opportunities Identify, discuss and analyse one (or more) core challenge being faced by the business today? What are potential turning points (key events) for the organization? What is/are the related decisions being faced by the business’ key decision makers/management/leadership?
    Appendices
    You may (but it is not required) provide Appendices which give more detail on various topics, including tables, graphs and charts. Appendices are not included in the word count.
    Bibliography
    Please provide full references for all data obtained externally and a bibliography which includes any external data/information sources used in the research. Please also reference any academic sources which have been used/consulted. Please be consistent in referencing throughout – see Unit Handbook for details. The bibliography, references and footnotes are not included in the word count.
    Further Information:
    Provide a 3000-5000 word case-based analysis of your chosen organization. Do not go over the world limit.
