You are to write an expository / persuasive essay on the communicative abilities of animals. Your essay should demonstrate substantial knowledge of the conceptual details of the topic in question, that is, you should:

You can write on the basic topic of animal communication but don’t try to argue that animals have “language” that has the same operating features of human language (abstract symbols, syntax, grammar, creativity), because no animal communication system has those features. You could write a detailed comparison of the basic features of animal communication and human language, detailing the similarities and differences, and also pointing out that language does not necessarily make humans better than other species, but at least acknowledging that there is a difference in operating features.
3. It would be easier for you to write on one particular species such as Gunnison’s Prairie Dogs or Bengal Finches and provide an objective report on its communication abilities in comparison to human language
