Structure and Format:
1) You are looking for a topic or theme, something that strikes you as powerful, that you would like to discuss. something that makes an impression on you, something that you can’t stop thinking about.
2) Begin be explaining or exploring your own relation to what you are studying in an introductory paragraph. Have you studied the Holocaust before? What have you studied? Is this something new to you? Describe what you bring to the table as you begin your project.
3) Here is where your research component should come in: find out more about the topic or theme, the author, the phenomenon. Use the kupferberg Center, the websites established by the major holocaust museums, and find out more about waht you are interested in, what you are trying to investigate.( the untied states holocaust memorial museum (www.ushmm.org) (Yad Vashem (www.yadvashem.org) The research component will involve using this two web. included with your essay will be a bibliograohy presented in MLA format.
4)use what you find in your research to help analyze the piece you have chosen for the response paper.
5) share you experience: what did you get out of what you studied? do you feel this something important for people to learn about? Has what you have learned changed you or the way you think about your topic at all?
