Many different titles and phrases are
used to describe the Messiah Jesus in
the Old and New Testaments. Examining
these titles is another effective way
to understand the testimony of the
early church concerning its experience
with Christ. Some titles emphasize more
His divinity, some more His humanity,
but each gives us insight into who
Jesus is.
In a Word document, arrange the titles
for Jesus (especially the ones given
in the lecture) in a table using two
heading titles "Jesus" and "Lord." The
heading "Jesus" emphasizes Jesus’ human
nature, the heading "Lord" emphasizes
his divine nature. Keep in mind that
any one title can refer to both human
and divine characteristics of Christ.
While APA format is not required for
the table, solid academic writing is
expected and in-text citations and
references should be presented using
APA documentation guidelines, which
can be found in the APA Style Guide,
located in the Student Success Center.
