Investigated issues of race (Harlem Renaissance), poverty (Great Depression), and militarism (World War I)

In this second unit of study, we have investigated issues of race (Harlem Renaissance), poverty (Great Depression), and militarism (World War I). Author Cornel Wests op-ed column Dr. King Weeps From His Grave seems to suggest that our nation continued to deal with these same problems during Kings lifetime, and still struggles with them today. Pick one of the following issues addressed by Wests article racism, poverty/materialism, or militarism and explain how this issue was manifested in the first half of the 20th century (1900-1950). Then, using Wests article and your own knowledge and opinion as the basis for your argument, explain whether this issue has gotten more or less problematic in our day and age.
