You are interviewing for a position of International Marketing Manager with a company that manufactures cookware in the United States for domestic distribution. This company has been considering exporting their product to either Europe, South America or Asia. They are not sure to which market they should export nor the method that should be used. You are informed that you are one of two finalists, the other being an individual with extensive domestic marketing experience with similar products. Your marketing experience has involved significant international experience with electronic products. You are given the opportunity to explain why your international marketing knowledge will be of greater value than the other finalist who knows the product line but has no international experience. What aspects of international marketing that you have learned would you explain to them to differentiate yourself from someone with only domestic marketing experience? How would you convince them that the international experience is of greater value than the other finalist’s knowledge of cookware? Be well organized in explaining the points of importance and offering specifics to back up the general points you make. The presentation should have a logical sequence that builds on previous points made.
