Instructions:
1. The two essay questions below complement the in-class section of Exam 3. This portion accounts for 50% of the Exam 3 grade or 6.5% of the total course grade. Please note that the first question is worth 40 points while the second question is worth 60 points. While there is no limit on how much time you may spend or on the length of your responses, my expectation is that you should be able to complete both questions within no more than three hours. I think it likely difficult to effectively address each question in less than two pages. However, know that you will be evaluated exclusively on the effectiveness (not length) of your response.
2. In responding to the questions, you may use the textbook. As the objective is to demonstrate your ability to synthesize your overall understanding of broad topics within chapters 10-13, please seek to go beyond merely presenting concepts or facts from the text. Rather, develop your logic and clearly support your observations/conclusions with appropriate examples and/or reasoning that DIRECTLY ADDRESS THE QUESTION(S) ASKED
