In the reading, there are several concrete examples of the impact of globalization. In this assignment, you should evaluate the effects of globalization on various societies. You should incorporate theory and knowledge of several issues connected to globalization as we have discussed in class (i.e. the legacy of colonialism, the immigration debate, the greying of society, the power of global media outlets and the monoculture debate).

Discuss the effects of this shift on individuals and institutions. Make predictions for the future based on facts and theoretical understanding you have gained in the course. Build your argument logically, incorporating references from the book and lectures. Additional sources are also acceptable.
