    I. Location Analysis
    Background:
    • Location, location, location!
    • Location analysis is a technique for discovering, assessing, and specifying the optimal placement of an organization’s people, information, activities, and materials.
This portion of the paper should contain:
    1. Executive Summary/Abstract (written after the entire section is completed): It usually contains a brief statement of the problem or proposal covered in the major document(s), background information, concise analysis, main conclusions/recommendations, and financial implications.
    2. Introduction: Introduce this portion of the paper (one paragraph).
    3. Analysis
    4. Conclusion/Recommendations – need to include financial implications
    5. References in proper APA format (there should also be in-text citations for each of the references listed in the reference page).
    6. Appendices – charts, tables, additional information to support your main analysis, conclusions and recommendation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: These sections cannot be done individually. The entire team needs to work together on the analysis. Then use the entire analysis to come to conclusions and recommendations as a team, and based upon these recommendations determine financial implications. The Introduction and Executive Summary should be done at the end (though they appear at the beginning!).

    Analysis:
    • Some factors to consider (this is not an exhaustive list):
    o Taxes and financing
o Title complexities and other legal factors
o Road, rail, foot traffic access (for physical locations)
o Skill level and suitability of the labor market (availability and cost)
o Access (to major roads and/or foot traffic)
    o Presence of competitors
    • Why is understanding this important to the firm
    • How can WindowsWear use location analysis to place its operation?
    • In what ways can the firm leverage its unique assets in creating a unique physical structure and experience for guests?
    • What additional benefits are derived from effective location analysis?

DO NOT just answer these questions –these are sample questions to consider. This section should clearly identify which factors were important when determining possible locations, compare and contrast specific locations based upon these factors, and make specific recommendations as locations (and why these locations may succeed).

    Conclusion/Recommendation:
Based on the above location analysis we recommend (not recommend) implementing these initiatives (and why). Be sure to consider the financial implications of your decisions.

You can only write 1 page about Introduction: Introduce this portion of the paper (one paragraph).
