The intent of the research paper is to analyze how Command and Control was implemented during Operation Restore Hope, how C2 affected mission execution, and what lessons the US military learned from the result of Operation Restore Hope. The paper will also attempt to describe what portions of C2 during Operation Restore Hope failed and what was consider a successful application of Command and Control doctrine.

In my research paper I will use case studies, literature searches, articles, books, biographies and possibly documentaries to analyze the implementation of Command and Control during Operation Restore Hope. I will also attempt to explain how US Forces integrated, planned and executed Command and Control from the beginning ofOperation Restore Hope to the end of UNOSOM II.
