Our discussion for this week is a research assignment to expose the scope and severity of data breach and PCI DSS compliance issues the hospitality industry is facing. All hospitality professionals must be well informed about what PCI compliance is and what the on-going issues of data breach are.
1. Find a recent example of a PCI compliance and/or data-breach issue in hospitality and briefly describe it in your discussion post. Your example can be a news report, newspaper article, etc. It must, however, be unique so please be sure to read all posts already made to ensure that your example has not already been posted. Please make sure that you include a copy of the article or a working web-link to your article.

2. Having researched the subject of PCI compliance and the on-going news about the data breaches, what are your thoughts as a consumer of hospitality services? Is it possible to hinder such breaches? Are advances in hospitality technology helping to reduce such incidents or are they making organizations more prone to such attacks?
