homegrown Islamic terrorism

    Instructions

Write a paper using the following prompt: Pick a country in the EU and describe three things: 1) The current state of “homegrown” Islamic terrorism, 2) One or two official government policies that the country is taking to address this issue (can be a multicultural approach, new laws, etc), and 3) Your informed opinion on the success (potential or existing) of the policy and why.

The paper should be written using the APA Handbook and guidelines. Do not include works in your bibliography that are not cited. We are CRAZY about insisting on using APA format. Your entire paper, (which includes a cover sheet and an abstract) including your bibliography/references MUST be in APA format – see me if you have questions or need help. Failure to use APA is an automatic 10 points off your paper grade. MANY programs will format your papers for you – and I am always happy to introduce you to a few.

You will be submitting your papers through SafeAssign and the following rant is because every semester I have a student who thinks they can get away with it. The end result is usually begging, tears, apologies, threats, and ultimately a failing grade – and that’s just from the instructor. (Other fallout includes me asking RedNeck for moonshine so I can forget the drama).

Your paper must be 1.5 spaced, Times New Roman font, with 1” margins. You must have a title page (which does not have to be APA complaint) and a references page. These pages do not count as written content. We use the grading rubric found below so there should be no surprises as to what you will be graded on.
