Write an essay on the history of elections in the US that includes the timelines that are relevant to elections that imposed potential barriers that “disenfranchised” groups of potential voters and how the federal courts have ruled respecting elections and/or rules that might impose barriers to voting as well as actions of the US Congress to address those situations. Additionally you will need to include the most recent rulings as it pertains to new voter laws to include the Texas Voter ID law and the significance of those ruling by the various circuit courts. You will also need to identify any US Constitutional rights that might have been violated by the state/s that contributed to the federal government intervening in a states reserved power.
