1. Choose a specific flood mitigation measure (from public policies, construction controls, or emergency response), and discuss the benefit (s) to society associated with that flood mitigation measure.
2. Choose a specific flood mitigation measure (from public policies, construction controls, or emergency response), and discuss the drawback(s) to society associated with that flood mitigation measure.
Compose an initial post that meets the following requirements:
• Includes 50–100 words, excluding references.
• Includes a reference, if appropriate.
• Uses a standard font and font size.
• Uses accepted standard American English (e.g., capitalization, punctuation, spelling).
• Uses your name, question number (if one of the above is used), and a brief summary as the subject of your post. For example: Robert Smith, #3: High Death Rate in Asia From Natural Disasters.
• You may choose to discuss the same public policy, construction control, or emergency response that has already been chosen, but do not duplicate the content of a previous posting. Use another example to explain and demonstrate your views if you choose discuss the same flood mitigation measures.
