    FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF LOM
    In Belgium, we have try to connect some company which is using LOM, but it seems there is seldom company are still using LOM these days in Belgium even Europe. As the engineering we have interviewed said, maybe it is because LOM somewhat lacking in precision printing is relatively rough surface finish, but these days, manufacturing technique in Europe are more interested in improving the quality of surface finishing and make more complex structure, less company are focus on LOM ,they are pay more attention in 3D printing. But the engineering also said, for the LOM its cheap and fast (print Processed do not change the object size increases) characteristics, still meet part of the demand for 3D printing, especially for some development country, there are still some market need it. Maybe in the future, with the 3D printing be more easy and cheap ,there are more material could be used in 3D printing as well as the improvement of traditional manufacturing, LOM will disappear in the future. Or LOM will be in used in more aspect combined with other manufacturing technique. But the usage of the Separated manufacturing, fewer people will use it.

    Now days cubic technologies (Helisys and its successors) are the main manufacturer of LOM printers. But there are not too many companies these days those working with LOM technology. But it is worth mentioning that the Irish company Mcor Technologies Ltd that sells LOM 3D printers. Their devices are widely being used artists, architectures, and product developers to create affordable projects from usual letter papers.
    Some companies have been using the LOM torch in plastic or metal laminations. Solido of Israel manufacturer is desk top machine that bonds layer of plastic films to form objects. French company called Strato conception uses CNC to perform thick layer LOM for metal and other materials. Plain paper was an obvious candidate among used materials, but there would have to be a technology breakthrough to figure a way to bond it. Using glue with standard white polyvinyl acetate (PVA) is the most preferable.

    The breakthrough was a now patented adhesive dispensing system that deposits a lot number of tiny glue dots on each layer. Fewer dots of glues are applied to areas of removed materials allowing for easy weeding of waste materials. This is an important improvement over Helisys’ approach, where adhesive density is uniform in all areas, and waste removal, or “de-cubing,” can be laborious, despite laser cross-hatching of waste areas.
    The rest of the company uses existing technology to ensure the reliability of the machine. Some companies use a tungsten carbide drag blade instead of a laser cutter to save on costs. Mcor LOM Company which is established in Irish on the other hand cannot afford the products and the printers with low prices. The company then tries to supply its own glues that is a little modified to optimise its consumers on market level.

    Despite not yet providing proof of a commertially-valiable and affordable products on market level the future for Mcors looks bright. It now it has developed an existing technology and is already working on a new and different projects.

    A Japanese manufacturing company called Kira has similarity to USA laminated object manufacturing Helisys. Both system use paper and adhesive materials to make laminated object which is supported by computer control. However there are some major differences between them.
