    You are required to produce:
    A portfolio of evidence which is created by carrying out various analytical activities. These activities are designed to offer insight into your own managerial effectiveness.
    As a minimum this portfolio of evidence must include:
    • A Skills Audit, using some form of 360 degree feedback mechanism,
    • A Time Management Log completed over a 2 week period
    • A Personal Development Plan – that includes prioritised actions
    You are also required to analyse your skills in the areas of:
    • Decision making
    • Problem Solving
    • Prioritisation and time management
    • Communication skills
    • Persuading and influencing skills
    • Understanding of the importance of learning styles including your own
    Once you have carried out your analysis you then use this evidence to write a 2,500 word reflective evaluation of your findings. You must link your findings to academic research and theory to show a link between theory and your own practice. You will use the work of academic authors from text books, journals, professional bodies, etc. to support your work.
    Your reflective evaluation should show:
    • How you have applied the module content to your own performance in the workplace
    • What you have learned about yourself by undertaking this evaluative process
    • How you can use/improve this evaluative process for future personal development
    • How you used reflection and the impact of reflection within this process of self-analysis and self-development

    We mark your work using the following criteria:
    The 2,500 word Reflective Evaluation will be formally assessed using the following criteria:
    Analysis, evaluation and synthesis of a range of sources of information (20%)
    • Have you used a wide range of sources in your work , such as text books, academic journals, professional bodies, quality websites etc?
    • Have you used lots of different tools in order to carry out a self evaluation?
    Identification, analysis and reflection on personal strengths and weaknesses (20%)
    • Has your analysis uncovered areas of strengths and weakness related to your effectiveness as a manager?
    • What does your analysis show you are good at and how can you make the most of these strengths?
    • What does your analysis show you could improve upon and how will you do this?
    Identification, analysis and reflection on emerging development needs and prioritised development opportunities (20%)
    • Are you able to prioritise your developmental needs?
    • Have you understood the need to prioritise your personal development objectives?
    • Do you understand why it is important to do this?
    Identification and analysis of improvements to the evaluative process (20%)
    • Have you discussed the importance of self evaluation?
    • How will you continue to evaluate your own abilities and performance beyond this module?
    • Will you continue with the evaulautive process or not?
    • Support your arguments.
    Identification and analysis of the role of reflection within personal development processes (20%)
    • Have you shown that you understand the process of reflection and reflective evaluation and writing?
    • How is reflection shown to be important in relation to personal development and improvement?
    • Will you continue to reflect on your experiences and abilities or not?
    • Support your arguments.
