    A Marketing Mini-Plan

The 4 Ps form the basis for all marketing strategy, planning and tactics. They are Product (physical product or service), Price, Promotion and Place (Distribution). For this assignment you need to read the chapter in which the 4 Ps are discussed.

I always tell students I could choose any product or service and they would be able to write a brief marketing plan just based on their experience as a consumer and based on the various jobs they have held, even if all were part-time jobs while attending school. Initially there is skepticism on their part but when they start to think about it, they realize that they know much about how the 4 Ps would be handled in many product or service situations.

Obviously the plan must be about a product or service that are known to most consumers and therefore would be consumer versus Business to Business products.

Select one of the products or services listed below and write a short marketing plan using the parameters detailed under the product/service selections.

    Product

    -notebook computer

-internet and computer services to residential consumers

    -dry cleaning store

    -auto service and repair shop

-novelty shop featuring notions, trendy accent attire, etc.

    -a restaurant of your choice

(If you are considering starting a business and/or managing your family business, you make use that for the plan but you must first email me the details for my approval).
