    Circular Reasoning

An extreme form of begging the question is called circular reasoning, a premise is identical or virtually identical, to the conclusion.

Here is an example:  Mike:  Capital punishment is wrong. Sally:  Why is it wrong.  Mike:  Because it is!

The reasoning is technically logically valid becasue there is no way for a premise to be true and the conclusion false-sice they are the same-but this arguement will never persuade andyone, because no one will accept the premise without alread agreeing with the conclusion.

Reflect: Reflect on the fallcies that you have read, which is circular reaoning.  Think abut how frequently you have committed. and what kinds of things to lead you committing it.

Write:  Present an example of an arguement (or arguments) that you have made that commits that particular fallacy which is circular reasoning.  What might you do to avod committing that type of fallacy in the future?  How might learning to avoid this faccy benefit your life.

PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE ME IF YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT STANDARD FORM LIKE THE EXAMPLE ABOVE.  I WILL RATE YOUR ANSWER HONESTLY AND I NEED THIS BY THIS THURSDAY.  THANKS
