    Discuss the following in view of Giddens et al., Chapter 8 and the web links on global coffee:

    How do the production, trade, and consumption of coffee contribute to global inequality and poverty?
    As consumers (and perhaps as businesspersons or as workers) in what ways do we ourselves gain 
    from – and thus contribute to – this global pattern of inequality and poverty?
    In what ways do we lose with regard to the wider consequences?
    What can we do to mitigate these problems?
