1. Choose one of the creative thinking tools discussed so far: Observing, Imaging, Abstracting, or Patterning.

2. Find an example of an expert (in any creative field) who has used this thinking tool. This person can be as mainstream or obscure as you like, but should be a professional, and should not be one we have already discussed in class.

3. Write a report detailing the example you’ve chosen and explaining how this artist used this technique. For example, if the report were about Abstracting,discuss a songwriter and how he or she abstracted complex emotions into melody. Be specific.
