Course Project Task 1—Interpreting Population Data

Course Project Task 1—Interpreting Population Data

    Scenario:

Some population data from the Centervale project are on the spreadsheet, which you can download. In order to quickly and clearly understand the population you will be working with, you should put the data in graphic format.

    Directions:

Produce graphs for each of the three townships and for the county so we visualize similarities and differences in population distribution, sex distribution, income, racial composition, educational achievement, and schools. Label each graph.
Write a paragraph about each demographic and speculate on how the distributions might be related to health measurements.
Be sure to save a copy of your work!

You should utilize at least 2 scholarly sources beyond the course readings in your research. Your paper should be written in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Write a 3–4-page report in Word format. Apply APA standards to citation of sources. Use the following file naming convention: LastnameFirstInitial_M1_A3.doc. For example, if your name is John Smith, your document will be named SmithJ_M1_A3.doc.

By the due date assigned, deliver your assignment to the Submissions Area.
