Confirmation hearings

     Confirmation hearings are part of the judicial process. In general, a confirmation hearing is a hearing conducted by the United States Senate to vote on the approval or rejection of a candidate nominated by the President of the United States. Nominee Brett Kavanaughs (Kavanaugh)hearing was watched by millions of individuals for more than eight (8) hours. A Stanford University, Professor Christine Blasey Ford (Ford), accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her thirty six (36) years ago in high school. Ford testified at the hearing. Kavanaugh testified at the hearing and denied allegations presented by Ford. The United States Senate voted 50-48 to confirm the nomination of Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
