Comparison of two USA presidential candidates

Choose the two remaining presidential candidates from the dominant parties and compare their stances on one policy issue you care about.  You may choose any of the Republican or Democratic candidates that have declared their candidacy. Potential policy issues include:  global warming, foreign policy, poverty, immigration, the economy, military spending, or any other issue raised by the candidates in the debates or on their campaign trail.

Answer the following questions in an essay format.  Your essay must have at least five paragraphs including a thesis and conclusion paragraph and be a minimum of 500 words long.  It can also have more than five paragraphs if needed.  Each of the questions below should be answered in its own complete paragraph.  Each paragraph should have a minimum of four sentences.  Provide citations in APA Style for any and all sources you use.  Assignment must be double spaced with a 12 point font.  You must include at least three sources.  Sources will be evaluated based on their credibility and authoritativeness.

Describe the similarities and differences of each candidate’s views on your chosen issue.

Compare the effectiveness of each candidate in explaining his/her position on the issue.  Explain what made each candidate’s plan either easy or difficult to understand.

Which candidate do you agree with the most on this issue? Explain why.

Which candidate do you disagree with the most on this issue? Explain why.

Explain why it is important for democracy to have active involvement by citizens in elections and identify three concrete actions you can take to support the candidate of your choice.

Your essay must include at least one exact quotation from each candidate and it must be properly cited in APA format.
All sources must be cited and listed in APA format.
