Answer the following question in your own opinion:
1. Where do most bloggers get their information? Do their sources affect their reputation as journalists? Why or why not?
2. The term fourth estate is used to describe how news media act as a check on governmental power. However, many traditional media outlets are losing money, and many new forms of media rely on traditional media for their stories. Given that state of affairs, do you think that the fourth estate is robust enough to serve its purpose? Why or why not?
3. Does humor have an appropriate place in news reporting, analysis, and dissemination? If so, what is it? If not, why do you feel it is inappropriate?
4. How do you personally assess whether news stories are conservative, liberal, or have another bias? Do you think your method is fair and balanced? Does it have to be?
Cite at least two separate citations to support your answer on a question (one or two of the questions doesn’t need one).
