Code of ethics

In the first part of your paper, you will be discussing your personal code of ethics (directions below). In the second part of your paper, you will apply your own code of ethics to a case study in your current or future profession.
Introduction: Set up your paper with a well-formed introduction.
Part A: My Code of Ethics
    1. Core Values: Discuss your core values in essay format. Explain why each one is valuable to you and how it helps you live the good life.
    2. Moral Character: Do you have good moral character? Answer this question by explaining what integrity means to you, and what virtues you aspire to cultivate and practice. Explain what vices you try to eliminate from your life.
    3. Ethics in My Life: What is the value of ethics in your life? Do you think you could live a good/happy life without being ethical? Why or why not?
Part B: Application of My Code of Ethics
    1. Choose a case study from your workplace or your future profession that you think will be an interesting one to analyze and resolve.
    2. ABCD Guide:
    a. Facts/Summary of the case: Identify the ethical issue(s) and give important facts of the case. Why is this an ethical issue and not simply a legal and/or policy issue?
    b. Stakeholders: Identify the moral agent(s) and moral recipient(s) in the case and explain why they are important stakeholders.
    c. Ethical theory: Which ethical theory or theories that we have studied are helpful to you in arriving at an ethical decision in your case?
    d. Decision: Apply your code of ethics. Arrive at what you believe to be the right ethical decision based on your own personal code of ethics. What roles will your core values, moral character, and ethics play in your decision?
