Question

To demonstrate an understanding of energy management legislation, undertake an audit of energy management in buildings and provide a evidence improvement measures.

Procedure
For a Coventry University building of your choice (you may not use the ECB or The Hub):
• Give a concise description of the building, its assets and its uses.
• Identify the Energy Performance rating of the building and analyse why it has been assigned such a rating.
• Conduct and document an energy audit of the building to suggest evidence areas for improvement.
o Low cost measures.
? You should complete up to four low cost, or no cost measures, such as good housekeeping or changing to low energy light bulbs.
o Medium cost measures.
? You should include at least one medium cost measure such as replacing electric motors with high efficiency ones
o High cost measures.
? You should include at least one high cost measures such as a renewable energy scheme
• Word Count: Not more than 1000 words (±10%) Assignments that are more than 10% over the word limit will result in a deduction of 10% of the mark i.e. a mark of 60% will lead to a reduction of 6% to 54%”.
