About the After school program:

Part 1: Music

The aim of the after school program is to ensure underprivileged children between the ages of 5 years and 18 years build interest in matters outside schoolwork, for the very benefit of improving their concentration in class and improve their overall educational standards. One of the major components we use is music. The students will participate in various musical exercises including choir, ban, learning to play various instruments such as piano, violin, and guitar as well as enhancing their musical talents.

The music after school program develops as a means of keeping at-risk students out of trouble and allows the kids to have a safe place environment that they go instead of involving in gangs and illegal activities.

Many minority and economically challenged children in the urban sections of Atlanta, has pronounced problems with academics specifically with math and reading. Due to family/environmental issues, low-budget schools, lack of supplies and teacher lay-offs, many of those kids are struggling to compete educationally with their peers locally, nationally and globally.
